Reasons Why Telstra Reject Applications

Telstra Rejection Codes

All Rejected orders will be issued one of the following reasons. Some reasons will indicate that a customer is unable to obtain a DSL service using the issued service number. Some of these can be overcome by trying another service number.

Address/Service number mismatch

The Address or Service number for this customer does not match.  The Address should be the site location of the service number.

Submit a NEW order with correct Address or Service Number.

Alternate Path not Currently Available

 

Investigation on service has failed to find copper path

Customer is unable to obtain DSL.

ANT1 Conversion Available

ANT1 can be removed to enable DSL to be connected

Customer is able to obtain DSL once ANT1 is removed.  A new application needs to be lodged once the ANT1 removal is completed.

Customer has Product with another Provider

Customer already has DSL with another provider.

Customer to request cancellation with existing provider and submit new order.

Duplicate Request

Customers order is a duplicate. Service already has product

Do not submit new order.  Await completion of original order.

Exchange not DSL enabled

Customers exchange is not DSL enabled.

Customer is unable to obtain DSL on this service.

Existing Copper Path at Premises

 

Original service number submitted is on a Pair Gain system or RIM and the Alternate path check has failed due to an existing service at the same address on a Copper path.

Submit an another application with another service number at the same address.

 

Incompatible Infrastructure – ANT1/2

Radio Service – Non wire-line. 

Customer is unable to obtain DSL.

Incompatible Infrastructure – Line Conditioning Equipment

Copper Cable is not Clean.  Equipment has been added to cable to provide service and cannot be removed. 

Customer is unable to obtain DSL.

Incompatible Infrastructure – PGS

Pair Gain Service is in use and is not compatible for DSL product.  Service has failed Transposition

Customer is unable to obtain DSL.

Incompatible Infrastructure – RIM

Remote Integrated Multiplexer device installed in customer’s location.  Service has failed Transposition

Customer is unable to obtain DSL.

Incompatible Infrastructure – Sub Exch

Sub Exchange infrastructure in use on range of phone numbers for primary exchange.

Customer is unable to obtain DSL.

Incompatible Line Type – Non PSTS

Customers’ service is not PSTS.  Line may be ISDN or other.

Customer is unable to obtain DSL on this service number.

Incompatible Line Type – Prime Line Hunt

Customer’s service number is a prime line hunt of a rotary system.

Provide another service number or contact service provider in regards to this product.

Incompatible Product

Customers service number contains a product which is not compatible for DSL. 

Contact service provider to ascertain what incompatible product is, to be removed? Or submit new service number.

Incomplete Application Form

Application form is incomplete

Submit new order for DSL.

Invalid Service Number – Inactive Service

Customers service number has been cancelled or suspended by provider.

Re-Activate service number with provider and submit new DSL order.

Invalid Service Number – Non Telstra

Customers’ service number is not on Telstra’s network.  Customer must have a Telstra owned service number.

Port Service Number back to Telstra and submit new DSL order or submit correct service number.
