Modem Disclaimer: Modems are provided by aaNet through Open Networks for customer convenience and come with a limited 12 months warranty. Every effort will be made by aaNet to ensure the customer has a modem at the time of Telstra’s connection to the aaNet ADSL service, however modems are shipped via Open Networks through Australia Post Couriers and aaNet cannot guarantee delivery times. As such, aaNet accepts no liability for modem delivery and can not reimburse customers for the inability to use the Telstra/aaNet ADSL service due to late modem arrival and all ADSL service charges will stand. aaNet does not refund modems that are opened or secondhand unless they are defective. All modem returns including DOA, must be sent to Open Networks for a replacement or refund if it is deemed necessary. Unopened modems returned for a reason other than your service was “rejected” by Telstra will incur a restocking charge of 10% and postal charges must be paid by the consumer. Any modem deemed defective at any time whether it is purchased from aaNet or not, does not exempt the customer from paying for the ADSL service even though the customer may not be able to use the ADSL service due to the defective modem.
