Step 1 Your Physical Connection

Please check the Application Status Page and ensure your connection is complete first.

Make sure all your phones are filtered (this means every phone connected to your ADSL number in your premises). Notice the filters can be plugged in back to front so make sure they are on the right way around.

Step 2: Plug in your Modem view diagram here

Plug your modem into the phone line without a filter. For those that have a security system please go here before proceeding.

Step 3: Connecting your modem to your Mac .

•  Navigate to and click the Apple in the upper left then choose System Preferences .

•  Under Internet & Network click Network .

•  To modify the TCP/IP please follow the image/directions below.

 

•  To the right of Location select Automatic .

•  To the right of Show select Built-in Ethernet .

•  Click on TCP/IP.

•  To the right of Configure IPv4 select Manually .

•  Type in assigned IP Information like below.

•  IP Address: Your IP Address (192.168.1.100)

•  Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

•  Router Address: Your Gateway Number (192.168.1.254)

•  DNS Servers: Primary DNS 202.63.39.130 
                    Secondary DNS 202.63.43.130

•  Click Apply Now button in the bottom right.

•  Close Network window.

•  The computer should now be able to access the modem with your web browser (safari or internet explorer) . If not please restart the computer.

 

 In internet Explorer or Safari Enter the numbers in the address bar as pictured above and press enter.

This should bring up a dialogue box for you to enter your Modem username and password. You will need to consult your modem manual to know what this is.

Enter your username and password as stated in the manual that came with your modem and press enter.

You have now logged onto your modem and need to enter the username and password into the modem so the modem can log on to the aaNet network.
